Health and Safety
S C Moore Ltd is committed to proving a safe working environment for our employees and subcontractors, whilst minimising the impact of our construction activities on our surroundings.
Our projects are predominantly undertaken in ‘live’ building situations, amongst the daily operations of a busy fully functioning home, hospital, school, aged persons homes and office environments. It is therefore imperative we assess the risk, implement and successfully deliver a specific health and safety plan and a testament to our success that we have no recorded incidents or accidents involving the public.
We employ Health and Safety Advisors to implement, monitor and control our Company Safety Policies and Procedures and are an Exor accredited organisation.
Environment
We are aware that as a contractor our construction works have a direct impact upon the local environment and use of the world’s resources, which are finite in nature.
S C Moore Ltd is a registered supporter of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, who monitors and evaluates our Company on how well we implement its Code of Practice.
There are 8 Key Areas, namely; Considerate, Environment, Appearance, Good Neighbour, Respectful, Safety, Responsible and Accountable, all of which are evaluated by independent auditors on a live site.
We also implement a waste management policy throughout the entire organisation to minimise waste, recycle, reduce our carbon footprint and actively source products from a renewable source.
Our Company has invested in renewable energy, and has been installing solar energy products for over 7 years and we are registered MCS Accredited PV Solar Power Installers.
